In a solemn ceremony, AAB College has signed a cooperation agreement with the Institute for Strategic Studies and Training ISSAT from Tirana. In this case, the Vice-Rector of AAB College, Shpemsedin Vehapi, said that this cooperation and training which will be offered today to nursing students, but also to the students of other study programs of AAB College, is in full compliance with development concepts, which are offered in this higher education institution.
Since 14th of October, 2016,AAB Theatre "Faruk Begolli" will start its new artistic season. Autumn season of the show begins with "For tea to Hillary" by author John Mucci Director: Burbuqe Berisha. Starring: Shengyl Ismaili, Rabije Rozi-Kryeziu. The performance will be given on Friday, October 14, 2016, from 18.00.
A group of 22 students from the United States, who study international relations and diplomacy at DIS Institute, at the University of Copenhagen, and three professors from this university visited AAB College in Pristina, due to their study visit in Kosovo.
Perennial professor of French Language and Literature and the first rector of AAB College, Masar Stavileci, passed away at the age of 81. Born into a family with patriotic intellectual tradition in Gjakova, Professor Masar Stavileci, devoted his entire life to the science, and his tireless work gave valuable contribution to French literature and philology in general.
The agreement foresees intercollegiate cooperation in all study levels and exchange of academic staff and students, joint research and development projects, seminars and other meetings on academic and scientific issues. This agreement also foresees the use of respective libraries for the purpose of studies and scientific research and other academic meetings on important issues for both institutions and both countries.
It was published collection of scientific papers presented at the International Scientific Conference organized by the University of Manchester "Alexander Xhuvani", University of Florence and AAB College.
With a solemn ceremony AAB College started the new Academic year 2016/2017 that was held at the premises of its three branches inPrishtina, Gjakova, Ferizaj, when the opening ceremony of the new academic year was held at AAB Theatre "Faruk Begolli".
The signed agreement is intended to create the best possible conditions for the students of the Faculty of Nursing from AAB College, to finish practical learning in this institution. The agreement was signed at the premises of the AAB College from vise-rector of Academic Affairs, prof.dr. Shemsedin Vehapi and Executive Officer Chief of the American Hospital in Kosovo, Novrus Çaushaj, MD.
"I ask you as an organization to work hard in the promotion of equality and non-discrimination of students for institutions of higher education because they do not differ from their missions, they have a common mission, but differ only in the way of funding" said RectorTafa. He said that our programs are equal with the labor market and today over 78% of graduates from AAB College are employed.
Students of AAB College among other activities directly that are related to the curriculum they consistently and very successfully pursue practical work in public and private institutions with which the institution has institutional cooperation agreements.
"AAB College has completed the required number in all study programs organized at the College AAB, with academic staff entitled Dr.sc. while since the last report in AKA, this number is also added to 52 regular teachers with this academic title said the Rector Tafa. He added that according to the AKA ranking for the number of qualified academic staff, AAB College is ranked as the second education in Kosovo after Pristina University.

The Rector of "AAB College", LulzimTafa said that AAB College as one of the greatest college, the first of the non-public sector in Kosovo has made all preparations for the starting of the new academic year 2016-2017.Tafa has indicated that the main novelty this year at the College "AAB", along with an art program is the General Nursing program, which starts this year for the first time. He said that ‘’AAB College" has become the leading educational and cultural institution in the country. At the conclusion of organizing summer school a solemn ceremony was held by the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Sarajevo Canton BiH, Elvir Kazazović, which made sharing certificates. All participants were provided with two certificates, one from the University of Sarajevo and the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica, Croatia, which carry 4 ECTS.
This agreement provides for facilitating cooperation regarding organizing scientific conferences, symposiums,seminars, activities, events and historical figures or topics from the field of Philology, cultural heritage, history and international relations, common publications, exchange of personnel, exchange of thematic organized visits in both institutions, mutual projects competition at national and international level, etc.
Despite the achievements and ongoing developments in all areas, special importance has paid to AAB College and academic staff development costs. In this regard AAB consistently supports and promotes academic staff, for the continuation of doctoral studies, through cooperation and partnerships with universities from the region, Europe and beyond.
During the meeting they have discussed the possibilities which were offered by SAP University Alliances for students and for further steps to be taken of AAB College to be a full member of the Alliance of universities, which has more than 2,400 universities actively involved.
Three students of AAB, Donika Blaku, Besart Vishesella and Blina Zhubi, successfully have completed the 2015/16 summer semester at the University of Lodz, Poland, as a full scholarship, under a joint agreement between the two institutions in the project Credit International Erasmus + Mobility.

The Conference will be held on 18 June, 2016, at AAB College, Prishtina.
Signing the agreement provides the creation of conditions for students of AAB College, to complete practical training, and other common features such as the organization of conferences, roundtables, symposia, scientific research, and activities that are of interest to both signatories.

The students of the Faculty of English Language at campus of Ferizaj, today marked the International Children's Day, the 1st of June, helping children with special needs from ’’Day care center the "Tree". AAB students in Ferizaj, today donated all collected funds from the event "Sofra shtepiake" that was held last week; these funds were collected from the sale of cooking and prepared food by the students.
For only three months at AAB Theatre "Faruk Begolli" have been produced three theatrical productions: "Professor, I'm talent ..." directed by Luan Daka, "Two dreaming mammals" by Melihate Qena the director, and last night it was given the premiere of the show "To Hillary for tea, "directed by Burbuqe Berisha and with the script by John Mucci.
Over 120 students of the Faculty of Public Administration of AAB College-level of BA and MA, conducted a Plenary improvised Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, within four courses: Ethics, Communication, Basics of protocol, political parties and electoral systems and administrative procedure, in order to implement the knowledge gained from courses across the curriculum by one academic year at the university.

Upon completion and success shown during the academic year 2015/2016, today, in a solemn ceremony, the Dean's Office and the academic staff of the Faculty of Law of AAB College shared certificates for the excellent students of this faculty. Certificates were given to 38 students in three categories, for both levels of study BA and MA: "Golden Student", ""Excellent student’’ and "Engaged Student".
The Exhibition "A bit for us, for them mean a lot" is the exhibition of recycled toys, which are made by students of management and Welfare of the Child Care branch in Pristina. Recycled toys that produce sounds of different musical instruments, are conducted within the course of Music, and after exposure, they will be 'sent to children in need.
"The visit aimed to recognize the achievements and challenges in the management of public and private institutions in the relevant sectors in Albania. In the framework of cooperation between AAB College and High School of Arts "Odhise Paskali" in Peja, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts of AAB College, Prof. Shyqri Nimani, attended the opening of the annual exhibition of the school graduates and shared five scholarships for graduates in these profiles: Painting, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Textile and Graphic Design.
Students of the Faculty of Social Sciences of AAB College campus in Ferizaj, a part of professional practice realized by meeting with children of pre-kindergarten "Our Future" in Ferizaj. For realization of this practice were engaged four students: HysaTafa, Zejnepe Sahiti, Erblina Vogliqi and Donjeta Hasani, who in addition to the demonstration, conducted the daily planning and applied different teaching strategies.
25 students of the Faculty of Social Sciences Campus of Ferizaj, were certified by Positive Discipline program on Daily parenting (GDPML), organized in cooperation with Save the Children in Kosovo. The program is offered free by the organization Save the Children, with Coaches Mimoza Hasani - Plana and Agron Seferi.

Students of the Faculty of Physical Education of AAB College proved a quite successful on the international Half- marathon "Pristina 2016", organized by the Athletics Federation of Kosovo. Arts Faculty students visited several centers and important monuments in cities across the country in Albania. In Tirana they visited the National Gallery of Art, where they were introduced to the works of Albanian artists: painting, sculpture and graphics. Faculty of Economics of the AAB College has signed a memorandum of agreement with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kosovo, in order to engage students to carry out practical work in this institution and agencies that are subordinate to the ministry for the promotion of vocational students. "The Ministry of Finance will take five students in practical work every three months or 15 students per year from AAB" he said.

Artan Avdiu, student of the Faculty of Mass Communication, management Production at AAB, has won the "Essence Award" on film called "Absence" at "International Peace & Film Festival", held in Orlando, Florida, United States States. "The film was very well received by the professional jury, whereas for us it was a great victory that we were able to receive such an award from more than 1,300 films that were in competition from around the world," said Artan Avdiu, who added that on "this festival from now on we will be part of it in the upcoming years, when we will be representing our state Kosovo and AAB College".

Promoted "Criminological Terminology" dictionary, the authors prof. Dr. Nedzad Korajlic, Dr. Sc and Dr. Driton Muharram. Sc. Xhemajl Ademaj while reviewers prof. Dr. Ragip Halili, prof. Dr. Fejzullah Hasani and prof. Dr. Lulzim Tafa. The dictionary has 520 pages, elaborated in 6645 notions and terms. Publication of vocabulary is supported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo.
A delegation from Karpaz Akdeniz University of the Republic of Turkey, led by Mr. Baris Yorganci, stayed on a working visit at AAB College.They were welcomed by representatives of the Rector of AAB College and coordinator of programs in Turkish, Engin Melekogllu.

Law Faculty of AAB College and Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC), signed a cooperation agreement, which aims to create much better conditions for students of Law Faculty of AAB College to complete practical training in this institution, and other professional activities. In a solemn ceremony in the premises of AAB College in Pristina, it was held the exhibition of students of the Faculty of Arts and Architecture at AAB, in cooperation with the Caritas in Kosovo. Students of the Faculty of Computer Science have created 3D printer, which is now ready for printing different three-dimensional figures, which will be designed and modeled in advance. "The project for the creation of 3D printer started earlier, because the idea was not to adopt it but to order all its constituent parts and the same to be created by the students of this university," said the dean Blerta Prevalla.

The Faculty of English Language branch in Ferizaj,at the AAB College, was held an activity called “Talk to the native"lectured from American professors with their functions in Bondsteel, who as part of the mission of NATO in Kosovo conducted volunteer activities for students.

Law Faculty of AAB College and the Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) signed a cooperation agreement, which aims to create much better conditions for students of AAB College to complete practical training in all courts of Kosovo, and other professional activities.
Arben Fejza,a student of AAB College has graduated from the Faculty of English Language on the academic year 2016/2017.He will be starting master studies in the United States, thanks to full scholarship earned by the organization World Learning in collaboration with USAID and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST), in Transformational Leadership program, program- Scholarships and Partnerships (TLP- SP).
This project is only a fragment of the overall project of digitizing services for AAB College students.Students through special ID cards will identify not only for attendance of lectures, but soon for a range of other services, which are underway, such as photocopy, cinema-theater, fitness, transportation etc.
Gregory Gleason, Professor Emeritus at the University of New Mexico, also the director of the Center for Security Studies "George C. Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Kosova and Ministry for Human Capacities of Hungary have signed the agreement of the “Programme for Scientific and Educational Cooperation” for years 2016-2018. At the invitation of the MOW organisation, director of the Library of AAB College, Urim Sallauka, spent several days in Germany, where he attended meetings with important academic personalities, discussing about the opportunities of cooperation and various donations from the German state towards the Library of AAB.
Rita Nushi, Alfred Çoça, Ilirjana Vrapca and Shehida Elezi, are currently pursuing the studies of the second year at the Faculty of Law of AAB College, through the Europian Union Project, Erasmus+Mobility. For a consecutive week, Nushi, Çoça and Vrapca were the first and only students so far from Kosovo, that attended the training "Embracing multi medial for human rights education", in Durres of Albania. While student Shehida Elezi was part of the training for entrepreneurship in Cyprus.
The French ambassador in Kosovo Maryse Daviet held a lecture for the AAB students with the topic “French foreign policy”. state-building of France since the middle Ages, the French Revolution, two world wars, as well as French foreign policy. She did not forget to mention the current processes which our country is facing and said that a political solution in the country can only come from the people of Kosovo and its political leaders.

The Rector of AAB College, prof. dr. At a ceremony the Dean of the Faculty of Economics awarded certificates to 32 students of the third year of the Faculty of Economics of AAB College, who successfully completed the practical work at the Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK).
The Faculty of Economics of the AAB College, under the leadership of academic staff organized knowledge competitions for freshmen on the subject "Microeconomics", for the academic year 2015 / 2016. These competitions were attended by a total of 32 students, who responded to over 60 questions, divided into five groups; three groups of Pristina campus, a campus group of Gjakova and a group from Ferizaj campus which came out as the winner of this competition with a few points ahead groups, scoring 85 points.
As part of efforts to apply various forms of teaching and learning, professors of the Law Faculty of the AAB College organized a study visit to Kosovo Security Force (KSF) in Prishtina. A group consisted of professors and 70 students of the Faculty of Law from Prishtina and Ferizaj campuses participated in this visit.

"The (Non) formalization of the Albanian language in Macedonia" book by Arsim Sinani got promoted at the premises of European University of Tirana, published by UET Press. "The (Non) formalization of the Albanian language in Macedonia" book provides an in-depth analysis of the history of the Albanian language in the former Yugoslavia and afterwards in the new republic of Macedonia up to date.
A group of students of the Faculty of Mass Communication and Production, accompanied by their lecturer Burbuqe Berisha, visited the studios of the serial film “O sa mirë”, a serial directed by Ilir Bokshi and produced by DigitAlb. “In addition to other knowledge, students have seen from a nearer perspective the practical work as how an artistic TV film is shot," said lecturer Berisha.
The latest issue of international-research journal THESIS got published, with its ISNN and International Board, of the AAB College edition. In this thematic issue, the papers from International Scientific Conference on communication and media studies have been included, “Global information facing national cultures”, organized by the Faculty of Mass Communication of AAB College in cooperation with the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the University of Tirana, Ecole Superieure de Journalisme of Paris, the oldest school of journalism in the world and IPAG the Business School of Paris, that conducted its work during 29-30 of May 2015, in the AAB College in Prishtina.

At the premises of AAB College, during an open hour to students, the award ceremony of main prize awarding was held on the category of short film, produced by the students of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Journalism and Production.

Prof. Dr. Tomasz Kamusellafrom Scotland lectured in front of AAB College students, on the topic “Difficult marriage – diversity and the democracy in Central Europe after 1989”.With regards to the topic he provided many examples related to the nature of changes that occurred in Central Europe over the years seemingly the same may happen in Kosovo aswell. Therefore, Kosovo citizens should create a more appropriateenvironment for a diverse and non-problematic living, for all entities.
The lecture with the topic “ The role of architecture and urbanism in society transformation”, delivered by the Swiss architect Mr. Michael Mayer, to the students of the Faculty of Architecture of AAB College, was mainly focused on the evolution of the industry and creations that mankind has brought along the XX century up until today, where the department of architecture, construction and urbanism besides being a partner of this evolution are the beneficiaries aswell.
The AAB College held a discussion on gender equality in Kosovar society that was a part of the project "Am I equal in Kosovo society", respectively the "16 Days of Activism, stop violence against women", supported by UNDEF. Particular discussions were on the role and empowerment of women in Kosovar society, problems and concerns that carries of their position and strengthen their decision-making as in other democratic countries with developed economy.
Only the Faculty of Mass Communication AAB has held five scientificconferences for the media and communications in the past three years, making it the faculty with most scientific conferences compared to even someuniversities together. Last weekend the Faculty of Mass Communication - Journalism of AAB Collegeheld its fifth international scientific conference.

The Albanian Publishers Association in Macedonia, awarded the prize “Ramadan Sinani” this year in the Book Fair “Tetova 2015”, organised in the premises of National Center for Culture in Tetovo. The award “Ramadan Sinani” was delivered by tha Mayor of the Municipality of Tetovo, Ms.Teuta Arifi, and it was given to the poet of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr.Lulzim Tafa.
As of this academic year and also in the previous years, the AAB College is beneficiary of the project “Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility ”,funded by Erasmus program funds for educational institutions of the Republic of Poland. AAB Publishing House has published the new scientific book "The History of State and Law", written by prof. dr. Muhamet Kelmendi, with editor in chief prof. dr. LulzimTafa. In the preface of the book, the author says that the case of the history of state and the law belongs to the group of cases from the legal field, political and social past. It shows the causes that led to the birth of the state, namely the state institutions and law, which were created in addition to that of the private property and class division of society.
With the intention to develop inter-institutional cooperation and in accordance with common goals and interests, the AAB College and the NGO “Banimi social dhe të drejtat pronësore në Kosovë” signed an institutional cooperation agreement.
A new university building was inaugurated today at the campus of AAB College in Prishtina - the seventh of this institution and one of the most modern university facilities not only in Kosovo but in the region as well, with an area of 15 thousand square meters, where the inaugural ribbon, in the presence of many participants, was cut by the rector of the College Prof. Dr. Lulzim Tafa, the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Arsim Bajrami and the AAB student, the world champion in judo Majlinda Kelmendi. Prof. Dr. Lulzim Tafa, speaking to the audience, said that the facility is intended for students, staff, and all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
AAB Publishing House published the newest scientific dictionary "LATIN-ENGLISH GLOSSARY”by author prof. dr. Asllan Bilalli, reviewed by Prof. dr. Hajredin Kuqi and Prof. dr. Qerim Qerimi. In the preface, the author says that this dictionary is needed in many aspects by all lawyers, ranging from students, applicants of the right in practice, as well as law professors.
With a solemn ceremony held at theUniversity premises of the three branches in Prishtina, Gjakova, Ferizaj, AAB today launched the new academic year 2015/16. Students of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports of AAB, developed an activity with the children of the National Autism Association in Kosovo. The intercollegiate cooperation between the AAB College and most popular universities in the Republic of Turkey has deepened these days with the signing of a new cooperation agreement with the University of Izmir DokuzEylül.
The latest scientific book “Komunikimi në diplomacinë publike - Soft power-i dhe imazhi ndërkombëtar i Kosovës”, got published, with the preface by Artan Fuga and the researcher of communication and media Hasan Salihu. The book is a product of the research carried out for more than three years, defended in 2013 at the Doctoral School of the Department of Journalism and Communication and Information at the University of Tirana, led by Prof.dr. Artan Fuga (academician) who performed for the first time a thorough research in communications and media studies.

AAB College organised a press conference on the occasion of bronze medal victory by the same College student Nora Gjakova, at European Olympic Games in Baku. The international cooperation as one of the priorities of the AAB activity has brought another new university agreement. This is about the agreement with the University of Lódz, Poland, which on behalf of the respective institutions was signed by AAB Rector prof.dr. Lulzim Tafa and prof. dr. Włodzimierz Nykiel, rector of the University of Lodz.
The student Ertan Bikliqi, is the first candidate of MA studies at the Faculty of English Language, that successfully defended the thesis based on his research “Measuring Teacher talking Time & Student talking Time, during English language teaching classes in Public and Private Institutions in Prishtina, and the benefits of increasing "STT" over "TTT", that was defended in front of the panel composed by: Dr. Sc. Sejdi Sejdiu, Dr. Prof. Qatip Arifi, Assoc. Dr. Prof. Marika Butshkhridze.
With the support and collaboration of American Embassy in Prishtina, the Faculty of English language, conducted recently a-four day training for the academic staff of AAB. The main training theme was “Teaching Methodology”, involving the teaching strategies and techniques, styles of teaching and learning. The training was carried out by the Education expert Dr. Ann Snow.
In the facilities of the institution of the higher education AAB University, was held the solemn ceremony for completion of the traditional university manifestation, the largest in Kosovo and in the region. At the Manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, besides the students and professors of AAB, participants were also personalities from the business, research and scientific fields in local and international level, friends and partners of AAB.
A delegation from the Uludağ Universityfrom the Republic of Turkey, led by the Dean Prof. Dr. Cenek Aydin, and a group of students visited the AAB University. The purpose of the visit was to see the possibilities for the commencement of the inter-institutional cooperation between AAB and Uludağ University.
It is published the newest international-research scientific review THESIS,with ISSN and International Board, published twice a year by the Institution of Higher Education AAB.
This year, the AAB Publishing House participated with more than 60 publications within the XVII edition of Book Fair “Prishtina 2015”, which was held from 2-7 June in the facilities of the Youth Palace, organized by the Association of Publishers in Kosovo.
Students of the third year of the Faculty of Social Sciences successfully completed the practical lessons, which precede the professional practice in preschool institutions.
Students of the third year of the Faculty of Law of AAB, conducted a simulation of a hearing session, within the course “Judicial Practice” with the Professor Laura Pula. The presentation was open, and besides students and professors, participants were also the staff of the Rectory of AAB.
On the occasion of event Manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, and upon realisation of investigative project “Juvenile deliquency” of the Faculty of Law at the AAB University, Department of Gjakova, a debate was developed on the topic “Juvenile deliquency”, attended by citizens and representatives of local institutions from Municipality of Gjakova, professors and students of AAB, etc.
On the occasion of event Manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, the programme Child Care and Welfare, together with Union of the students of AAB, held the humanitarian activity in order to mark the International Children’s Day.
The student’s contest for the best work, presented in the level of faculties, today had a different level. Through an activity organized on the occasion of manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, the today’s competition was of a scientific character, in university level.
On the occassion of the event Manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, the students of bachelor degree of the Faculty of Computer Sciences such as Shkëlqim Miftari, Alban Lahu and Bujar Prebreza, presented their projects that they had carried out over the summer semester.
On the occasion of event Manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, the Faculty of Law organised the activity “Presentation of seminar papers”, in which students of bachelor level from the campuses of Prishtina and Gjakova from the AAB University, competed and presented their papers in the form of scientific-research seminars.
Upon the Manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, during the day the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports organized the finals of the following sports disciplines such as: football, street-ball and table tennis.
In a solemn ceremony organized the night before in the environments of AAB University, the documentary film was premiered “La Boheme”, dedicated to the life and work of the great actor Faruk Begolli, conducted by the third-year students, of the Faculty of Mass Communication and Journalism, the Production department, within the subject of “TV Documentary”, the teacher Burbuqe Berisha.
Upon the event of Manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015” the Faculty of Public Administration organized a competition of the public administration field, where the students of bachelor level from Campuses of Prishtina and Ferizaj of the AAB University, competed and presented their scientific-research works.
The AAB University and the Post and Telecommunications of Kosovo signed the memorandum of understanding that will enable the promotion, support and establishment of mutual cooperation, in order to develop general, social and economic education.
The Dean of the Faculty of English, Venera Llunji, hosted in a meeting the representatives of the US Embassy, who deal with the field of education Mr. George Chinnery, M. Kanishka Gangopadhyay and Mrs. Remzije Potoku.
The International Scientific Conference for the communications and media “The global information and the national cultures” – was organized by the Faculty of Mass Communication of AAB in cooperation with the Department of Journalism and Communication of the (public) University of Tirana, IPAG School of Paris and Ecole Superieure de Journalisme of Paris, held at the AAB University.
Within the manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015” and on the occasion of the International Children Day, the Faculty of Law of AAB, held the roundtable with the topic “Position of the children in society, their rights and different forms of abuse”, where participants where representatives of central institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, professors and students of AAB, and other interested guests.
Upon the event of Manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, the Faculty of Economics of AAB, conducted a competition in Mathematics, for students of Bachelor level, led by their teachers Prof. Lulëzim Bytyqi and Ass. Merita Shabani.
Upon the event of Manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, Faculty of Economics in AAB, organised another competition in the field of Economics, in which the students of Bachelor and Master level of the three departments of AAB competed and presented a series of scientific-research works.
Students and the staff of AAB, within the traditional activity for this institution, were in solidarity with the activity for voluntary blood donation, activity which was held within the manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, and continued for two days.
Within the manifestation “Days of AAB 2015”, the students of AAB University in cooperation with the members of the “Down Syndrome Kosova” center, organized the humanitarian activity for the children with the Down syndrome.
Within the manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, the Faculty of Economics of the AAB University, campus in Gjakova, held the roundtable with the topic “Prospects of development of the Municipality of Gjakova” where participants were representatives of central and local institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, representatives of business organizations and successful companies, professors and students of AAB and other interested guests.
The students of the Faculty of Architecture stayed in Vienna, Austria for seven days, where they were participants in the workshop “Cross Border Cooperation” organized by TU Vienna.
Within the manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, the Faculty of Social Sciences of AAB, held the conference for students with the topic “Development and education in early childhood”, where selected students from all the campuses presented their scientific research conducted during the summer semester.
Within the manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015”, Faculty of Economics of the University AAB, held the roundtable with the topic “current economic trends in Kosovo”, where participants were representatives of central and local institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, representatives of business organizations and successful companies, professors and students of AAB and other guests who followed with interest the debate.
The VIIIth edition of the largest university manifestation “Days of AAB, 2015” commenced with a solemn ceremony, in the facilities of AAB in Prishtina.
On the occasion of the greatest university event in Kosovo, "Days of AAB 2015", the opening of students’ traditional collective exhibition will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 11:00 am, in the lobby of building I,at the AAB University Education Institution in Prishtina.
Faculty of Social Sciences of the AAB University organized the roundtable with the topic: “The impact of preschool education in the development of the children’s personality”, where participants besides the academic staff and other institutions were students of this faculty.
Students of the Faculty of Law of the AAB University, at the Department of Prishtina, within reach of the subject “Penology”, conducted a study visit in the Correctional Center in Lipjan.
Professors at the Faculty of Arts and Architecture of AAB, participated in the workshop ICE-ASSORESTAURO Training and commercial visit to Italy for Foreign Architects and Restorers, organized by the Government of Italy in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ITA).
In a solemn ceremony, where the highest leaders of institutions of Kosovo and numerous representatives of the diplomatic corps of Kosovo were among the participants, as well as important political persons of Montenegro, the AAB University awarded the International literary award “Ali Podrimja” to the distinguished Montenegrin, friend of Albanians and Kosovo, Jevrem Brkovic.
The Laureate of the International Prize for Literature "Ali Podrmija", for 2015, is the prominent Montenegrin writer, a great friend of Kosovo Albanians, JevremBërkoviq.
Alket Rexhepi, student of Computer Sciences at the University AAB, participated in the International Scientific Conference OSCAL 2015 (Open Source Conference Albania). Rexhepi presented the theme of "Development of video - games with open tools".
The first edition of the science-research magazine "ABSTRAKT" of AAB University branch in Ferizaj was published.
The Ambassador of Hungary, László Márkusz, in his lecture “The foreign politics of Hungary” held within the course Foreign Politics of the Professor Nexhmendin Spahiu, whereby discussed about the decision that the Assembly of Kosovo shall take about the establishment of the Special Court. “It is necessary to establish this court by the Parliament of Kosovo. This is for the best interest of all the citizens of Kosovo. If it is determined that these allegations were not true, then an international panel shall confirm that these allegations are not true”, said the Ambassador.
Within the joint project of the Faculty of Mass Communication and the Council of Europe Project "Promoting freedom of expression and information and media freedom in Southeast Europe", at the AAB was held a discussion on the importance of investigative journalism, where lectures were held by the former director of the European Federation of Journalists (FEG) in Brussels, Marc Gruber.
"ARCHITECTURE AND IDENTITY- critical issues in contemporary discourse in regional approach", is the tittle of the Third International Scientific Conference on Architecture and Urban Planning, a two day conference organized by and held at the AAB.
During the meeting with AAB students, Montenegrin ambassador spoke about the state he represents and diplomatic relations of his country in relation to Kosovo and other countries. Among other things, he did not fail to mention the actual issues faced by our societies.
A group of 12 students of Master studies of the AAB University’s Faculty of Social Sciences, accompanied by the AAB teaching staff, were in a five-day study visit to relevant institutions in Germany.
The new edition of the AAB’s Faculty of Journalism magazine "Colloquium" was published. "Colloquium" is AAB students’ magazine which is published twice within an academic year.
Ambassador of Norway to Kosovo Jan Braathu, in a lecture to the students of the AAB University, talked about recent political developments in Kosovo.Regarding the role of Norway in the last War in the liberation of Kosovo, Ambassador Braathu said that Norway has been engaged in the Kosovo process since the early 80s up to 1999, but also afterwards. This country has been among the countries that provided the most aid to Kosovo.
In the presence of several creators of Albanian letters, book fans, literary critics, researchers of other fields, publishers and a number of artistic word appreciates, today on the occasion of 21st of March the International Day of Poetry, the AAB University in cooperation with Kosovo PEN Center promotes the book "Bury these words" by the poet Lulzim Tafa, published by "Faik Konica" Publishing House. Editor of the book is Nazmi Rrahmani, whilst Agim Vinca is reviewer.
"The United States aim to integrate all Balkan nations in NATO, including Kosovo and Serbia" said the American diplomat Scott Lang in front of students of the Faculty of Political Science and Diplomacy of AAB, as a guest lecturer on the topic "American foreign policy".
"The Day of education in mother-tongue” activity was organized by the AAB University in cooperation with EROL and TLP (effective program of rule of law and program for transformational leadership which is supported by the Government of the United States of America and USAID).
In addition to the ongoing activities, in line with the university curriculum, tutor students are selected for the summer semester of the academic year 2014/15. Tutor students are selected from all study programs organized in the three campuses of AAB University in Prishtina, Gjakova and Ferizaj.

This innovative 10-week course couples online learning with face-to-face meetings to maximize learning possibilities. This program was designed by English teaching and journalism professionals from Kosovo and nine regional countries along with experts from Voice of America and the University of California at Berkeley.
Within the program for human resources capacity building, AAB University initiated the implementation of the project to professionally upgrade its teaching staff.
An AAB team, consisting of Prof. Ilir Tafa – the chairman of the board, Xhavit Rexhaj - Pro-Rector for International Cooperation, Rizvan Rexhaj – the Head of the Marketing Department, Granit Curri – the Secretary General and Engin Melekogllu – The Coordinator of the Program in Turkish Language in AAB, were on an official study visit to Ankara, Turkey from 10th to 13th of February 2015.
Professor Andrea Griletto spoke about the cooperation agreement between Italy and Turkey for the restoration of cultural heritage monuments, a cooperation that was initiated by institutional bodies and companies.
In this informative lecture on the process of digitalization to students of the Faculty of Mass Communication, IMC President, Mr. Adnan Merovci, explained that the digitization strategy comprehensively defines the transition process from analogue terrestrial television broadcasting to digital terrestrial broadcasting. This process involved all stakeholders (media industry, relevant state institutions, civil society etc).
AAB Faculty of Law in cooperation with Fund for the Humanitarian Rights in Kosovo, during these days have selected a group of students of this faculty to finish professional internship for 3-6 months.
"A successful Trepca would create an economic environment that can flourish. What is inside the Kosovo territory is an asset of Kosovo. This should not be the subject of dialogue with Serbia, but should be resolved within Kosovo. I know that it will not be easy, but I think of this being the best way to solve this issue" said the British Ambassador, Ian Cliff, at the AAB during the lecture on “Foreign Policy” held by Prof. Dr. Nexhmedin Spahiu, whereby the topic of the British foreign policy was treated.
"We did not recognize Kosovo independence, but we said we will not exclude the possibility for the recognition. Out of the 5 EU countries we are the most flexible”, said the head of the Greek Liaison Office in Pristina, Ambassador Constantina Athanassiadou, during a lecture delivered to students of the AAB University.
As part of the international cooperation activities, a delegation from "Final" educational institution from the Republic of Turkey, led by Zeki Cobanoglu, had a one-day visit at the AAB. The purpose of the visit was to look at opportunities for starting a mutual institutional cooperation between the AAB and "Final" organization.
During the lecture for the AAB students on “German foreign policy”, the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Angelina Viets, said that since the visit of the head of LDK, Isa Mustafa, to Berlin occurred just before the Kosovo government was assembled, a perception was created that the German government advised him to change his coalition partners. This is not true at all, said the German ambassador to Kosova, Angelina Viets.
