Dr. Sc. Milot Krasniqi was born on May 13, 1987, in Pristina, where he completed his primary and secondary education.
In 2009, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Pristina in the field of “General Law” (https://uni-pr.edu) with a GPA of 9.86.
In 2011, he completed his postgraduate studies at the same institution in the field of “Criminal Legal Sciences,” earning the title Master of Criminal Legal Sciences (Ma.Sc) with a GPA of 10.00.
In 2020, with “distinct success”, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the University of Pristina, Faculty of Law, with the topic: “Mediation as a method of alternative resolution of criminal matters,” earning the title Doctor of Criminal Legal Sciences (https://uni-pr.edu).
During his undergraduate and postgraduate studies, he was continuously awarded a university scholarship and was honored with the “Outstanding Student” award in 2009 for his academic excellence, awarded by the Rector of the University of Pristina. Between 2008–2010, he was a member of the Student Council of the Faculty of Law and of the Faculty Council, where he represented and voiced student interests.
His professional career began in 2009 through a legal internship for young lawyers at the Ministry of Justice, in the Department for Access to Justice, Division for Protection and Assistance to Crime Victims (https://md.rks-gov.net).
From 2010 to 2012, he worked as a Legal Officer in the Legal Department of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (https://www.mkrs-ks.org). His primary duties included drafting legislation, offering legal opinions and recommendations, preparing legal documents, and representing the ministry in legal proceedings.
From 2012 to 2016, he served as a Legal Advisor at the Anti-Corruption Agency in Pristina (now the Agency for Prevention of Corruption) (https://apk-rks.net). His key responsibilities included offering legal advice on the agency’s obligations under the law, representing the agency in legal institutions, proposing legislation against corruption, and drafting relevant legal documents.
In 2016, he was appointed as a State Prosecutor and assigned to the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren. Since 2020, he has served as a Prosecutor in the Special Prosecution Office of Kosovo (SPRK), a position he continues to hold with dedication.
In 2024, he was elected as a member of the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council, representing the prosecutors from the Special Prosecution Office of Kosovo, a role he still fulfills.
In addition to his extensive experience in criminal justice, Dr. Krasniqi is also active in academia. Since the 2022/23 academic year, he has been a lecturer at AAB College, teaching criminal law-related subjects such as Human Rights in Criminal Procedure, International Criminal Law, and Criminal Law Practice.
Dr. Krasniqi has published two (2) scientific articles in internationally indexed journals and numerous others in non-indexed journals in Kosovo, the region, and beyond.
Dr. Krasniqi has participated in numerous professional trainings in the fields of public, criminal, constitutional law, and public administration in Kosovo, the region, and beyond.
Dr. Krasniqi is a seasoned legal professional in Kosovo’s criminal justice system and serves as a lecturer for criminal law subjects at the Master’s level at AAB College, known for his commitment to sharing his legal knowledge and experience with students and young lawyers, especially those engaged in the prosecutorial system.
He is married, has three (3) children, and lives in Pristina.
