Prishtina International Theater Festival has begun its journey for the eighth edition, with a special ceremony and a large audience.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Albin Kurti, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Hajrullah Çeku, the Ambassador of Albania to Kosovo Petrit Malaj, the Ambassador of Montenegro to Kosovo Bernard Çobaj, as well as many other public figures participated in this ceremony.
Theater lovers were greeted in the opening speech of the director of this festival, Mr. Zijad Mehic, who noted that “he expects to spend these days together, watching unique plays”.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, H.E Albin Kurti, described the work conducted by the team as a seal, for “something that best represents reality, such as theater”.
“Your work marks Kosovo as a contributing state, not just a participant. Your presence shows that our republic is hospitable to countries that deeply believe in cultural and artistic values. Your valuable contribution lies in testing and tempering realities without consequences, which is what theater does best”, said Prime Minister Kurti.
After the ceremony, “Muhammad Ali, the one and only” play from Bosnia and Herzegovina, directed by Dino Mustafić, was played.
