Professor of AAB College Lulzim Tafa has been honored by the Embassy of Albania in Kosovo for his contribution to literature

In a solemn ceremony organized on Thursday, the professor of AAB College and the well-known poet, Lulzim Tafa, was honored by the Embassy of Albania in Kosovo, for his contribution to the field of Albanian literature.

In the presence of many public personalities of Kosovo and Albania, the ambassador of Albania to Kosovo, H.E. Petrit Malaj, thanked poet Tafa, appreciating Tafa’s work and contribution to Albanian art and literature.

“The Embassy of the Republic of Albania to Kosovo expresses its deep gratitude for the contribution in the field of literature, as a poet and writer. Your work has enriched our national culture and art. Your membership as an external academic in the Academy of Sciences in the Republic of Albania is a well-deserved honor, it strengthens the cultural and scientific ties of the Republic of Kosovo and that of Albania”, said Ambassador Malaj, among other things.

While poet Lulzim Tafa, expressing his gratitude, emphasized that he is deeply honored to receive this recognition.

“I feel very happy to be among you and with you I am pleased to accept this recognition… such honors do not make a writer greater or more important, but more confident in his creative work”, said Tafa.

For the work of Lulzim Tafa, the best words were also said by dignitaries and participants in this ceremony. While it was even more magnificent, the recitation of one of Lulzim Tafa’s monumental poems (“How quickly my mother forgot about me”), by the Albanian Ambassador, Petrit Malaj.

We remind you that poet Lulzim Tafa is known for his poems and is among the most translated Albanian poets, at the same time laureate of many international awards.

In addition to awards, he holds many honorary titles in world academies and universities.

In the second half of April of this year, Lulzim Tafa was elected an external member of the Academy of Sciences of Albania.
