Faculty of Health Sciences Conference Opens on World Health Day

The Faculty of Health Sciences conference, coinciding with World Health Day, began today at AAB College, with its title “The Role and Challenges of Health Professionals in Improving Patient Safety: Clinical Practices, Education and the Impact of Health Policies”. Rector Blerim Olluri, in his opening speech at the conference, praised the role of health professionals, while saying that AAB is committed to creating an educational environment for students to shape the health systems of tomorrow.

“Education plays a transformative role in patient safety and healthcare excellence. At AAB College, we are committed to creating an educational environment that not only transmits theoretical knowledge, but also develops critical thinking, ethical responsibility and practical experience. Our students are members of the healthcare system and their training today will shape the health systems of tomorrow”, said Olluri.

Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences Idriz Sopjani, while congratulating the attendees on the start of the conference, indicated that its goals and discussions are comprehensive.

“Our conference aims to create an open and inclusive space to exchange knowledge, experiences and good practices from different professional and state contexts. The discussions that will take place today include multidisciplinary approaches, from clinical practitioners, teachers and researchers, to institutional representatives and those who draft health policies”, added Sopjani.

The opening of the conference was also welcomed by the Director of Health in the Municipality of Pristina, Izet Sadiku, and the Vice President of the Kosovo Chamber of Nurses, Leonora Bakija.

After the opening ceremony, the participants continued with their presentations and comments regarding various papers related to the topic of the conference.
