“A Day Without Internet” – AAB College students change their daily lives with a special activity

30 May 2025

As part of the student project “A Day Without the Internet”, produced and organized by students of the Faculty of Public Administration at AAB College, a unique and inspiring activity was carried out that invited students to experience a full day without the internet, social networks or technological mediation.

This project began with the preparation of a survey, which was distributed before the activity to measure students’ perception and dependence on the internet, to understand how often they use digital devices and how they feel when they are without the internet.

The completion of the survey by the participants provided valuable data to reflect on the impact of technology on daily life.

On the day of the activity, students responded to the invitation to put their phones aside, engaging in a series of interactive games and challenges such as cards, dominoes, stones, ludo, polka dots, ping pong and badminton.

Following this, students will organize a roundtable discussion, sharing their experiences, reflections, and suggestions on a day without the internet. The data collected will help the project organizers prepare a detailed report on the impact of the activity and the possibilities for similar projects in the future.

This activity was not just a day of play, but an educational and social experiment, which raised awareness about digital addiction, encouraged physical communication and collaboration, and created a lively and memorable atmosphere in the AAB student community.
