AAB College organizes a roundtable on the prevention of sexual harassment

With the theme “Together we stand, together we act”, the Faculty of Psychology at AAB College has organized a roundtable discussion within the framework of the Awareness Month for the Prevention of Sexual Harassment.

Rector Blerim Olluri, summarized the commitment and dedication of AAB College to combat sexual harassment and promote gender equality. He emphasized that, at a time when society is facing profound challenges, education must lead by example and create environments where human dignity and equality are unwavering principles.

Minister of Justice Albulena Haxhiu, praised the proactive role of AAB College and underlined the necessity of inter-institutional coordination to address and prevent this phenomenon. She emphasized that the ministers have taken important steps in this direction, by strengthening legal policies, toughening penalties in the Criminal Code and strengthening protection mechanisms for victims.

The Dean of the Faculty of Psychology, Naim Telaku, spoke about the long-term impacts of bullying on the psychological well-being of individuals, emphasizing the need for structured interventions in the field of education and institutional policies.

The roundtable also included human rights activist Lendine Balaj, who shared her experiences in supporting survivors and involving young people in awareness campaigns, as well as Vice-Rector Venera Llunji, who presented AAB’s institutional approach to building internal policies aimed at protecting and empowering potential victims of bullying.

The event was moderated by Arlinda Gashi, coordinator at the Faculty of Psychology.
