Prof. Ass. Dr. Blerta Abazi was born on March 6, 1989, in Skenderaj, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She graduated from the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Prishtina in 2010, where she prepared her thesis on: “Basic Techniques for Beginners in Table Tennis.” She completed her master’s studies in 2013 at the Faculty of Sport Sciences in Prishtina, with the thesis: “Analysis of Results in Individual Table Tennis Competitions at the London 2012 Olympic Games” (https://uni-pr.edu/).
In 2023, she completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Physical Education at the University of Tetova, with the thesis: “The Impact of Explosive Strength on the Effectiveness of the High Jump” (https://unite.edu.mk/).
Meanwhile, in June 2024, at AAB College, she was promoted to Assistant Professor (www.kolegjiaab.com).
Professional Experience: From 2013 to the present, she has been employed at the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports at AAB College, where she lectures practical and theoretical courses such as Table Tennis and Fitness (www.kolegjiaab.com).
She is also engaged in international projects as part of collaborations for developing education through sports. Currently, she is part of the project “Let’s PLAY Maths”, which aims to educate children aged 6–9 through sports games related to mathematical concepts, in cooperation with partner organizations from France, Romania, and North Macedonia (http://pl4y.international/fr).
During her sports career (2001–2017), she was declared Kosovo Table Tennis Champion for three consecutive years (in junior and senior categories) and represented Kosovo at numerous World Championships in countries such as Bosnia, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, and China.
For several years, from 2021 to 2024, she was also a board member of the Kosovo Table Tennis Federation (www.fppk.com).
