Fesal Baxhaku

Fesal Baxhaku, born on July 5, 1985, in Pristina, is a university lecturer and expert in computer science, with extensive academic and professional experience both in Kosovo and internationally. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science at AAB College, where he teaches subjects such as data science, software engineering, and location-based technologies.

Alongside his engagement in higher education, he is also the Managing Director of the Kosovo office of TIM Solutions GmbH, an international company where he leads major projects in software engineering and digital transformation. In recent years, he has also worked as a Senior Software Engineering Consultant at infra.ws, contributing to complex projects involving advanced technologies.

His academic career spans over a decade, including more than ten years as a lecturer at the University of Prizren (2014–2024) and earlier as a teaching assistant at the University of Pristina (2012–2014). He has also served as a Java team lead at Adaptiv IT Engineering and worked as a software engineer at Code-X and GMDS.

Fesal holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield (2013–2023), where he defended his dissertation titled “An energy efficient data architecture for wireless sensor networks.” He also earned a Master’s degree in Software Engineering and Telecommunications from the same university (2011–2012), and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Pristina (2007–2010).

His scientific contributions include publications in high-impact international journals and conferences such as Elsevier, ACM, and IEEE.

On the technical side, Fesal Baxhaku has advanced expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservice architectures. He also possesses deep knowledge of Angular, Docker, Jenkins, Git, as well as data formats such as XML, JSON, RDF, and JSON-LD.

The development methodologies he applies include Scrum, design patterns, and in-depth analysis of algorithms and data structures, ensuring high-quality software design and development.

He is fluent in Albanian (native) and advanced English, allowing him to communicate effectively in academic and professional international environments.
