15 September 2025

As part of the 25th Anniversary of AAB College, the Faculty of Health Sciences successfully organized a free training program on First Aid in Schools for the teaching staff of “Mihal Grameno” Elementary School – Annex 2, Fushë Kosovë. The training, held on September 13, 2025, lasted two academic hours and was delivered by Prof. Edona Gara and Ass. Shenaj Mumini, experienced professionals in health sciences and medical education.

The session provided teachers with essential theoretical and practical knowledge in life-saving skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding management, first aid in cases of epileptic seizures and neuroses, as well as strategies for handling other urgent situations that may occur in the school environment, such as open injuries, fractures, and contusions.

Strengthening capacities for safer schools

The main goal of the training was to empower teachers with critical first aid competencies, enabling them to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, thus ensuring the health and safety of students. By building these capacities within the school system, AAB College reaffirms its role in promoting community well-being and lifelong learning beyond the classroom.
