As part of the 25th Anniversary of AAB College, Kosovo’s leading higher education institution, the Faculty of English Language and Literature, led by Vice-Rector Venera Llunji, hosted the promotion of Istria Gold, a novel by internationally acclaimed film producer, author, and cultural advocate Mike Downey. The event highlighted AAB College’s commitment to academic excellence, international cultural exchange, and literary scholarship.
Istria Gold, originally published in Great Britain in 2022 and recently translated into Albanian, is a historical-adventure novel set along the Istrian coast, exploring themes of memory, greed, and the significance of place. The promotion featured remarks by Professor Aida Alla (Dean), Director Fatos Berisha, and Mike Downey, providing insight into the novel’s literary, cultural, and artistic relevance.
This initiative exemplifies AAB College’s interdisciplinary approach, linking higher education with cultural promotion and international collaboration.
