He further emphasized that over these 25 years, AAB has become a center of innovation, science, entrepreneurship, culture, art, and media.
“AAB today is a true hearth of knowledge and creativity: where art coexists with science, where
sport intertwines with culture, where tradition meets the newest technologies; where teaching
unfolds through modern methods and hybrid platforms, preparing students for a global and
demanding market; where scientific conferences, international seminars, International Week, as well
as cultural and sporting events are organized – shedding light not only on AAB, but on our entire
society” noted Rector Olluri.
The Story of AAB’s First Student, Dardan Krekaj
A particularly moving moment of the ceremony was the return to AAB’s earliest days with its very first student, Dardan Krekaj, soon followed by thousands of others who enrolled in the years to come.
In his remarks, Krekaj recalled his first steps and decision to register at AAB: “At that moment, I did not know I was becoming the very first student of AAB, but I knew a new chapter was beginning for me. Today, after a quarter century, I feel truly proud to have been part of the beginning of this grand institution—for me, and for all of you who have passed through here. Today, I am not only the first student, but for many years now I have also worked here, and I consider AAB my home. As I see AAB grow, it feels as though I have grown alongside it,” he said.
Former Rectors and Their Enduring Legacy at AAB
The former rectors of AAB College – Professors Ilir Tafa, Masar Stavileci, Enver Petrovci, Uroš Lipušcek, Lulzim Tafa, and Bujar Demjaha were honored with deep gratitude, as they were the leaders who laid the foundations of the institution, inspired generations of students, and left an enduring legacy in the history of AAB.
