Professor of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at AAB College, Uranela Demaj, has been selected to be part of the prestigious international “Fulbright” program, becoming a Fulbright Fellow in the Department of Sociolinguistics at New York University (NYU), one of the most renowned universities in the world.
During her stay in the US, Prof. Demaj will develop a research project on the Albanian diaspora in America, with a focus on preserving linguistic and cultural identity, as well as on the influence of the American sociolinguistic environment on the way Albanians use and transmit their native language across generations.
The “Fulbright” program is one of the most prestigious academic initiatives in the world, funded by the United States government, with the aim of promoting international academic and cultural exchange.
