3 September 2011

In a ceremony organized at the institution, attended by ministers, foreign ambassadors accredited in Prishtina, local and international business representatives, professors, and many guests, President Lobo Sosa expressed his gratitude for the honor bestowed upon him by AAB-Riinvest College.

“It is an honor for me. This title carries great weight. It is the second time I am honored with such a title, and I am proud that in a prestigious university like AAB-Riinvest, I am awarded the Doctor Honoris Causa,” President Lobo Sosa said.
He added that all people are born free, with identity and rights, and therefore Kosovo also deserves to be internationally recognized as a free country with equal rights. “Independence is not a gift—it rightfully belongs to Kosovo,” he emphasized.

Muhamet Sadiku, speaking on behalf of the Senate Commission that evaluated the awarding of the honorary title, delivered the laudation highlighting the life and work of President Lobo Sosa.

“Since AAB-Riinvest College promotes modern academic, scientific, democratic and civilizational values, it was natural for us to take this important decision for a man who understood the aspirations of his people, but also of other nations,” Sadiku said.

According to him, President Porfirio Lobo Sosa is known for his special merits in advancing knowledge, promoting cultural and scientific achievements, and humanism.
“He has contributed to strengthening peace and mutual understanding between peoples, and in particular is recognized for developing friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Honduras,” he added.
Sadiku concluded that AAB-Riinvest College is honored to award the title Doctor Honoris Causa, being convinced that President Sosa’s work has strengthened dignity, human freedom, democratic development in Honduras, and cooperation between the two nations.

Rector of AAB-Riinvest College, Lulzim Tafa, stated that President Lobo Sosa has become one of the strongest advocates for new international recognitions for Kosovo, describing his contribution as extremely valuable for the country.
“We are here to honor the contribution of President Lobo Sosa, who has given and continues to give so much for our country. He has become the greatest lobbyist for new recognitions for Kosovo, which are of extraordinary importance for us,” Rector Tafa said.
