Naile Demiri

Naile Demiri, after finishing high school in 1999, enrolled in the Faculty of Philology at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, in the department of Albanian Language and Literature (4-year system), where she graduated on February 18, 2005, earning the title of University Degree for teaching at the pre-university level.

Her professional career began during the 2003/2004 school year, when she was engaged for one year as an Albanian language teacher at the primary school “Vëllezërit Frashëri” in Lipjan. After that, for two years (2005–2007), she worked in print media, as a journalist at “Iliria Post” and later as deputy editor at the newspaper “Pavarësia News”.

From 2007 to 2014, she was employed at UBT College in several positions: lecturer and coordinator of the Faculty of Media and Communication, officer for Media and Public Communication, as well as editor-in-chief of the newspaper “UBT News” and the magazine “UBT Alumni”. During the period 2007–2010, she continued and completed her master’s studies at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”, earning the title Master of Philological Sciences – Albanian Literature. She graduated with the study “Narrative levels in the novel The Wrong Dinner by Ismail Kadare”, under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Zejnullah Rrahmani. Upon the mentor’s recommendation, this study was published as a book, representing her first scientific contribution in the field of literature.

During her time at UBT College, in 2012, she was simultaneously engaged as a lecturer at the Faculty of Education at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina”. From 2014 to 2019, she led the Office for Public Relations at AAB College. Also, since 2014 and ongoing, she is a lecturer of courses in Albanian language grammar and academic writing at the same college.

In addition to her experience in education and media, Ms. Demiri has also been active in decision-making institutions and international projects. During the years 2016–2019, she was a member of the board of Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK). She also served as Media Advisor in a joint project of the Chamber of Crafts of Dortmund and the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce (2016–2018).
