The sixth edition of the International Theater Festival, Prishtina International Theater Festival “Burbuqe Berisha”, PITF 2022, has started its journey with the official opening of the Kamertal Theater at AAB College. In the competitive program of this edition of PITF, six theatrical performances will be coming from Spain, Northern Macedonia, Italy, Montenegro and Kosovo.

At the opening of the festival, the director of this edition, Doruntina Alshiqi, said that she is proud of the team and their tireless work to bring this edition to life.

“Taking into account the fact that we are the only international theater festival in Kosovo, we have once again outdone ourselves. A lot of work has been done by all the staff, and we can hardly wait to see all the performances. Let the best one win!”

After the opening ceremony, the public had the opportunity to see the play “I left” by the Institute of Culture from Barcelona, directed by Enric Lizano Sans and Aida Flores. The show was well received and was followed by excitement and applause from viewers.

The PITF2022 festival continues tonight with the play “The M Word” directed by Fatos Berisha, who is coming to represent Northern Macedonia in the competition.
