As part of the implementation of the curriculum for the Constitutional Law subject, second-year students of the Faculty of Law and Public Administration visited the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo, together with teacher Arta Rama, former President and judge of this institution.

The students were welcomed in the courtroom of this institution by Mr. Nexhmi Rexhepi, President of the Constitutional Court, who, after making an introduction regarding the functioning, role and competences of this important state institution, spoke more about the jurisprudence to date, the nature of the requests and the importance of citizens’ trust in constitutional justice.

The President also spoke about the importance of the cooperation of the Constitutional Court with other courts, especially with the Supreme Court, as a necessary way to strengthen the rule of law and the independence of the justice system.

During the conversation, the students were interested in the approach of this Court in reviewing individual requests in relation to the rights and freedoms arising from Chapter III and Chapter II of the Constitution, what the practice has been so far and how much it has influenced the improvement of the position of communities in our country.
