On September 3 and 4, 2025, the Faculty of Public Administration at AAB College participated in the Kosovo PAR 2025 International Conference on the topic “Capacity in Public Administration: for or through AI?”, an event that brought together academics, international experts, policymakers and public administration professionals to discuss the impact and potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in building institutional capacities and improving modern public administration.
The conference, held in Pristina, Kosovo, began on September 3 with an official opening ceremony, where Prof. Ass. Dr. Vrullim Buja, Dean of the Faculty of Public Administration, together with Prof. Basri Muja, Prof. Albulena Brestovci and a group of students represented the institution at the highest level, demonstrating AAB College’s commitment to building bridges of cooperation between higher education, public institutions and the digital transformation of administration.
On the second day, on September 4, the Faculty contributed with the panel “The Impact of AI on Capacity-Building in Public Administration”, led by Prof. Vrullim Buja and co-panelists Prof. Donik Sallova and Prof. Lavdim Terziu, discussing ways in which Artificial Intelligence can be used to improve the quality of decision-making, modernize public services, build sustainable institutional capacities and promote an ethical and transparent approach to digital governance.
With concrete examples and experiences from the local and international context, the panelists offered practical recommendations for policy-makers and public administrators, ensuring that the implementation of AI is responsible, inclusive and effective in improving governance.
The participation of the Faculty of Public Administration in this conference demonstrated not only an academic contribution, but also the continuous commitment of AAB College to the creation of knowledge, the preparation of future leaders and the development of a modern, capable and innovative public administration, based on integrity and ethical values.
This activity positions AAB College and the Faculty of Public Administration strongly in the international arena of higher education and scientific research, increasing the institution’s presence in academic rankings and Webometrics, as well as contributing to global debates on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Governance, Capacity Building and Ethical AI in public administration.
