This event was carried out by Professor Yoko Takigawa, where students and academic staff of the Faculty of Arts benefited from a stunning demonstration and explanation of this ancient art form, which is rich in tradition and elegance.

Participants were introduced to the sophisticated techniques and symbolism of Japanese calligraphy, seeing its cultural significance and aesthetic features.

Through a hands-on presentation, participants were immersed in the art of penmanship and the deep meanings conveyed through each letter. The event not only provided a unique opportunity for cultural exchange, but also fostered deeper awareness of Japan’s rich heritage.
