In the framework of strengthening practical work and cooperation with employer partners, the English Language Faculty of AAB College held an activity called “Closer to partners closer to the labor market: demonstration of simultaneous interpretating by professionals”.

This activity was co-organized by Translation Center and TranKos Consulting companies. Present on the panel were the translators and interpreters Gëzim Rexha from OSCE, Kuqa Braha from the American Embassy, Hyjnor Jasiqi from OSCE and at the same time alumni of AAB College as well as Njomza Sallauka from Trankos Consulting. The event started with a conversation between guests and students regarding the specifics and issues of simultaneous interpretation and then the interpreters demonstrated simultaneous interpretation in the booth together with college students.

Dean of the Faculty of English Language, Dr. Aida Alla said that such activities serve to introduce students to a real work environment and to help them establish contacts with professionals in this field. Interested students will continue practical work in these companies and will have the opportunity to improve their translation and interpretation skills.
