A workshop with the students of the Faculty of Mass Communication – Journalism of AAB College has started today. This workshop is organized by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US Department of State, with Meridian International Center as implementing partner and AAB College. The first topic that was addressed in this workshop was “Media in between: Past and future: war and peace”, while photojournalist Ilaz Bylykbashi, publicist Ibrahim Berisha and journalist and war reporter Zeqir Bekolli were invited.
Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication of AAB College, prof. ass. dr. Hasan Saliu opened the workshop by inviting the students to participate and be informed about the important periods of the country, and how the media have reported in that period.
Photojournalist Ilaz Bylykbashi presented to the students the photographs he had taken during the war in Kosovo, demonstrations and many other important periods.
Meanwhile the publicist Ibrahim Berisha, discussed with the students about the way the media had reported on the war in Kosovo, all the events in chronological order which had marked history.
On the other hand, the journalist and reporter of the war, Zeqir Bekolli, having direct experience from the scene when the war was taking place in Kosovo, spoke about his experiences and those of the citizens, which were then documented through photos and reports from him.
At the end of this workshop, students will be provided with certificates of appreciation, for participation and contribution to the discussion and conversation.
