Today, within the framework of the International Staff Week at AAB College, we had the honour of hosting the official launch of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence “Shaping Kosovo’s EU Future: KO-in-EU”, first and only in Kosovo, a project supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme.
During the launching event, the Rector of AAB College, Dr. Sc. Blerim Olluri, emphasized the strategic importance of the Centre of Excellence for strengthening academic excellence and advancing Kosovo’s European path.
Mr. Hubert Perr, Head of Cooperation at the EU Office in Kosovo, underlined the European Union’s continued support for higher education through Erasmus+ and the importance of promoting EU values and informed dialogue.
Ms. Mimika Dobroshi, Coordinator of the Kosovo Erasmus+ Office, highlighted the significant impact and success of the Erasmus+ Programme in strengthening higher education in Kosovo.
Mr. Vrullim Buja, Dean of the Faculty of Public Administration, stressed the relevance of the Centre in supporting governance reforms and public administration aligned with EU standards.
Ms. Ilirjana Geci, Director of the Office for Project Development, presented the vision and key activities of the KO-in-EU Centre, explaining its role as an umbrella platform for six Jean Monnet Modules and its contribution to teaching, research, and public engagement on Kosovo’s EU future.
Importantly, this Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence serves as an umbrella structure consolidating AAB College’s strong engagement in European studies, as our institution is currently implementing six Jean Monnet Modules, further reinforcing its leadership in this field.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all speakers, partners, and participants who made this day a significant step forward in shaping Kosovo’s EU future.
