As part of today’s activities at AAB College, a lecture was announced the day before with Lumnije Gashi Shabani, MA. Arch. Lumnije’s works are varied and range from architecture and design in strategic urban planning and environmental planning, to policy making for the institutional framework in Kosovo.

In front of the students of the Faculty of Architecture, she addressed the topic “Manual for the evaluation of the Municipal Development Plan and the Zonal Map of the municipality”. The purpose of this manual is to create a standardized methodology for assessing the quality of the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and the Municipal Zoning Map (MAP), based on defined indicators and criteria, during the drafting process and before their final approval. This handbook was prepared as part of the GIZ project “Spatial Planning and Land Management in Kosovo” in close cooperation with the Association of Kosovo Municipalities (AKM) and in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure (MESP).

At the end of the lecture, she thanked AAB College and concluded the meeting with students through questions and discussion about the lecture.
