The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at AAB College marked June 23, the International Olympic Day, by climbing the Sharr Mountains. This was the 10th year that the students of AAB College mark this date with these kinds of activities.
The destination of the path they passed through was the Sharri Mountains and the Jazhinca Lake, this lake with an altitude of 2180m, where the ascent in this terrain is considered moderately difficult. The trail was 16 km long and the walk took a total of 6 hours. Students enjoyed the scenery of dense mountains, nature, waterfalls, etc.
Professors and students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports participated in the expedition organized on this occasion, which has already become an annual tradition for AAB College. This year this activity was also supported by the Olympic Committee of Kosovo.
Marking the International Olympic Day by climbing the Sharr Mountains was also a warning for the next challenge and expedition, because in July the students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports will cross the highest peak in the Albanian Alps, the Gjeravica Peak with an altitude of 2,656 meters above sea level.
