Lauresha Ramadani

Lauresha Ramadani was born on October 10, 1987, in Prishtina. She completed her primary education at Glen Innes School in Auckland, New Zealand, and finished her secondary education in Prishtina. In 2008, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Prishtina. Subsequently, in 2012, she completed her Master’s studies in Computer Science and Engineering at the University for Business and Technology in Prishtina.

In 2019, she obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science from AIU University in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, further consolidating her expertise in information technology.

Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in Economic Sciences at the Mediterranean University of Albania in Tirana, focusing on artificial intelligence and its applications in economic systems, digital transformation, and intelligent technologies in the Albanian economy.

Her professional experience began in 2005 as a Multimedia Specialist at OBSCURE Multimedia, where she gained advanced skills in managing and producing multimedia content and utilizing digital systems. From 2008 to 2010, she worked as a Software Developer at DATAPROGNET Software and Development Company, contributing to the development, testing, and implementation of various software applications and systems.

From 2010 to 2016, she was part of Banka Ekonomike, holding positions as Card Operations Specialist and later as IT Auditor. In these roles, she was responsible for the security, auditing, and operation of information systems, ensuring compliance with internal standards and local regulations.

Between 2016 and 2020, she served as IT Manager and subsequently as Risk Manager at INSIG SH.A., where she managed complex information technology systems and developed effective policies for identifying and preventing operational risks. From 2021 to 2024, she was Risk Manager at EUROSIG SH.A., and since 2025 she has held the position of Coordinator of the Risk Management Unit at KS ILLYRIA Insurance Company.

She possesses advanced skills in managing information systems and information technologies, which she applies not only in the private sector but also in her academic role.

Since 2020, she has been a regular faculty member at AAB College, where she lectures on Software Engineering, Risk Management, Incident Response, and Software Project Management at the bachelor’s level.

Scientific Publications and Conferences – Her contribution to the scientific field includes a series of publications in SCOPUS-indexed journals, focusing on topics such as healthcare optimization and improved diabetes prediction models for advanced health data processing. These works have been presented at international conferences and published in prestigious journals, reflecting her engagement in artificial intelligence and information technology.

Book Chapters – Lauresha Ramadani is the author of five chapters accepted for publication in the international book published by Springer titled Internet of Vehicles: Scope and Application of Artificial Intelligence-Based Technologies (2025). These chapters address advanced topics in cybersecurity, privacy, artificial intelligence, and human interaction within the Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Vehicles (IoV) systems. The chapters include: privacy preservation strategies in IoT, the use of machine learning and deep learning for IoV security, enhancing user experience through natural language processing (NLP), collaborative security approaches for IoT ecosystems, and human factors and social engineering in IoT attacks.
