Lecturer – AAB College, Department of Design and Fashion
Teuta Osmani was born on May 18, 1979, in Podujeva, where she also completed her primary education. She graduated from the “28 Nëntori” High School in Prishtina. In 2000, she was certified in a tailoring course by the IMC Youth Organization in Podujeva. In 2020, she received a certificate for the course “Modules of Cutting and Sewing: Pattern & Cutting” at the House of Hope, Prishtina.
Following a successful practical career in the fashion industry, in 2019 she graduated from AAB College (https://aab-edu.net/en/) in the field of “Fashion Design“. Furthermore, in 2022 she completed her master’s studies in “Graphic Design & Multimedia” at the same institution, deepening her knowledge and skills in graphic and multimedia design.
In the 2017/18 academic year, Teuta began her academic career as an assistant at AAB College (https://aab-edu.net/en/persons/teuta-osmani/). Since 2022, she has been a lecturer in the Department of Design and Fashion at AAB College (https://aab-edu.net/en/), where she teaches the following subjects: Textile Design II – Sewing Techniques – Knitting, Tailoring Techniques, and Technology and Materials.
Her practical experience in tailoring, combined with academic knowledge, makes her a well-rounded professional who brings an integrated approach between theory and practice in higher education. She possesses advanced knowledge of design software, and proficiency in foreign languages, including English and Serbian, which aid in international communication and collaboration.
During 2014–2015, she was a Member of the Evaluation Committee for the Tailoring Course at the “House of Hope” Center, Prishtina, responsible for evaluating tailoring students within the professional education program.
Teuta has also participated in media and cultural activities, giving interviews in television programs such as “My Family” on Klan Kosova, where she spoke about her professional journey and challenges in the field of fashion and design. She is continuously engaged in promoting fashion art and culture in Kosovo, contributing significantly to the development of higher education in the field of design. As the author of clothing collections, she has created six distinct collections to date.
Teuta is married, has two children, and lives in Prishtina.
