Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at AAB College had the opportunity to attend a lecture given by professors Solveig Omland and Katrine Mellingen Bjerke, from NLA University in Norway. The topic of the lecture focused on cultural diversity and the importance of the inclusion of ethnic communities in Norwegian social life.
Through a short film, the students were introduced to the ways in which immigrants interact with Norwegian culture and how they overcome the challenges associated with cultural differences. After the film, the professors led an open discussion with the students, where issues related to the Norwegian social system and the importance of building an inclusive society were addressed.
The students actively participated in the discussion, sharing their thoughts and experiences on integration and the importance of cultural understanding in an increasingly globalized world.
