Organized by AAB College, in cooperation with partner universities from Albania, Northern Macedonia and Croatia, the International Scientific Conference “Perspective of Western Balkans integration into the EU” was held.

This conference, which due to the pandemic situation took place virtually, gathered around 100 researchers from different countries, including Kosovo, Albania, Northern Macedonia, Croatia, USA, Australia, Belgium and Bulgaria.

This conference also brought three important personalities of science in the capacity of keynote speakers: Prof. Dr. Florian Bieber, from the University of Graz (Austria), Prof. Assoc. Dr. Besnik Pula from Virginia Tech (USA), and Prof. Dr. Anton Panchev from Sofia University (Bulgaria), whose lectures were attended with great interest by the participants.

In addition to the three key speakers, the conference proceedings took place in eight separate sessions where topics such as integration, administration, rule of law, and economics were discussed.

The works of the participants of the conference “Perspective of the integration of the Western Balkans in the EU”, will be published in the Book of abstracts of the conference (Book of Abstracts), while the best works will be published in a special issue of the Scientific Journal “Thesis”.
