At the invitation of the Fund for Humanitarian Law in Kosovo headed by Bekim Blakaj, the students of AAB College today visited the two exhibitions “Once upon a time, never more” and “One day”, which are located in the Kosovo Documentation Center. The exhibition “Once upon a time, never more” is dedicated to the 1133 children killed during the war in Kosovo, 109 of them missing. The students, accompanied by the professor of the Faculty of Law Bashkim Rrahmani, saw closely the walls on which the names are found, while the photographs, clothes and personal belongings of the children were also exhibited.
In addition, the students also heard the confession of Gramoz Berisha, a survivor of the massacre in Suhareka, which conveyed great emotions and pain.
“One Day” was the second exhibition that the students visited, in which the accounts of trauma from the Studime massacre on May 2, 1999 are shown. Tragic details from the survivors of this massacre are shared there, as well as the memories of the 116 victims.
These exhibitions served the students to be informed even more about the experiences of the Albanian people, along with the many challenges and consequences that this war has left. The visit was carried out within the project “The impact of the EU on the construction of peace, reconciliation and democratization in Kosovo”, financed by the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Actions program.
