The first workshop is held within the framework of the Students for Sustainable Development project

On September 1-2, within the framework of the Students for Sustainable Development project, AAB College as the project leader in collaboration with the partner institution British College of Sciences held the first 2-day workshop on Training on Sustainability and Green Agenda which brought together students from Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro. Aiming at empowering young people and international exchange of knowledge in the integration of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans. In this activity, AAB College engaged as an expert Prof. Assoc. Dr. Besime Ziberin, who during the two working days led interactive sessions with the participating students. Through lectures and dynamic discussions, she brought a broad overview of the basic concepts of sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During her presentation, Prof. Ziberi also brought elements from the latest published and in-progress scientific papers, which address issues of sustainable development, education and green transition. In particular, she focused on her latest article co-authored with local and international researchers: “The EU Green Agenda legal framework and economic growth in developing countries: a panel EKC approach”

This activity was assessed as an important platform for academic exchange, increasing student capacities and regional cooperation, emphasizing the key role of young people in accelerating the green transition and promoting sustainable development.
