The activity “Escape Room: HEInnovate self-assessment tool for Higher Education Institutions” was
successfully held, bringing an innovative approach for the participants.
The activity combined game-based methodology and strategic analysis, engaging participants in a
dynamic and collaborative experience. During the “Escape Room,” academic staff from higher education
institutions were divided into groups to choose challenges and scenarios built around the HEInnovate
components (a European self-assessment tool for higher education institutions in the fields of
innovation and entrepreneurship).
Through this creative method, “Escape Room: HEInnovate” not only strengthened the spirit of
international collaboration but also provided a practical platform for identifying strengths and areas for
improvement in the context of institutional development.
This activity demonstrates that the International Staff Week, in addition to being a networking space,
also offers opportunities for innovation, strategic reflection, and the advancement of higher education
in line with European standards.
