The CORE-ED ACADEMY project, in which AAB College is a partner, has been approved for funding by the European Commission within the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education program!

14 August 2024

This project aims to build the capacities of higher education institutions in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Serbia, promoting inclusiveness, shared values and democracy through education and pedagogical interventions in correctional settings. Through this unique partnership, we will bring about significant change by designing pioneering curricula and establishing regional research centers for remedial pedagogy.

This unique partnership brings together education, the labor market, enterprises and research centers in a fusion of public-private initiatives, redefining higher education as a center of lifelong learning. Benefiting not only students, but also working professionals, the project will introduce two pioneering curricula in correctional pedagogy, the first of their kind in the European space.

Key methodologies for success include DACUM workshops engaging employers to identify current and future competencies, structured public sessions involving civil society, researchers and public authorities, as well as mentoring between higher education staff from Western Balkan countries and the two countries other Balkans.
