The Faculty of Economics organized a debate on the topic “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Scientific Research: Advantages, Limitations and Ethics”, with the participation of students of the Research Methodology course, led by Professor Roberta Bajrami. This activity aimed to explore the ways in which artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the process of scientific research, providing a rich forum for discussions between students and professionals.
On behalf of the Dean’s Office, the debate was welcomed by Professor Qendresa Kukaj, who emphasized the importance of this topic for the academic and professional development of students. She wished that this discussion would be fruitful and contribute to the improvement of their research in the future.
A special guest at this debate was Ms. Hana Bacaj, Director of Research at UBO Consulting, who shared her experience in the field of scientific research and showed how her organization uses the latest AI technologies for data analysis. Through an interactive presentation, she demonstrated several practical cases of the use of various AI tools, showing concretely how these technologies help to accelerate and improve the analysis process.
At the end of the debate, both students and speakers reached important conclusions that Artificial Intelligence makes the research process more effective, faster and less expensive. However, it was emphasized that its use should be limited and controlled to maintain information security and respect ethical issues of research.
This activity was an excellent opportunity for students to develop critical thinking and deepen their knowledge of the opportunities and challenges that artificial intelligence brings to scientific research.
