Through a special ceremony, on the participation of the Japanese ambassador to Kosovo, HE Keisuke Yamanaka and his associates, the Japanese Corner at the library of AAB College was officially opened.
Rector Blerim Olluri welcomed the contribution carried by those present regarding the relation that the parties have enjoyed for years, especially with the donation of 200 books by the “Nippon Foundation” for the library in 2023, describing it as great support for students. He appreciated the ties with the Embassy of Japan in Kosovo and its representatives for the extraordinary cooperative relations they have with our institution.
The Japanese Ambassador, HE Keisuke Yamanaka, expressed his gratitude and gratefulness for the formation of the Japanese Corner, and added that the donation serves as a necessary aid for education in general.
The vice-rector for International Relations and Cooperation Venera Llunji, discussed with the representatives of the embassy about the opportunities of exchanging students from AAB College in Japan and vice versa, along with the expansion of cooperation with numerous universities from this country.
In the end, the rector of AAB College, Blerim Olluri, shared two acknowledgments, one to the Japanese ambassador Yamanaka, as a sign of appreciation for the support and contribution to AAB College, and the other to Yōhei Sasakawa, the chairman of the “Nippon Foundation”, for the donation of books.
