Today at AAB “Scientist of the Year, 2019”, Dr. Driton Vela held a lecture on “The Importance of Publishing in the Web of Science and Scopus Platform Magazines”. Issues such as the importance of publishing in journals with high impact factors, the importance attached to them, the rankings according to these parameters in Kosovo and the region, were some of the topics breached that were then discussed between the lecturer Vela and a group of AAB College professors.

This discussion of such major issues of scientific publication is a continuation of discussions conducted by AAB with renowned scientific publishers, experts and international publishers, in order to exchange experiences on scientific research.

Dr. Vela was selected MEST Scientist of the Year last year, and has published dozens of papers on journals with high impact factor and from prestigious publishers, such as Nature, Elsevier, Sprinder, etc. He also is a peer-reviewer for high impact factor journals such as “Trends In Biochemical Sciences” (IF: 16.9), “Medicinal Research Reviews” (IF: 9.8), “Theranostics” (IF: 8.1) etc.
