The OSCE Mission in Kosovo in cooperation with AAB College holds a round table discussion for the International Human Rights Day

“Our rights, our future, today” at AAB College, was the theme of the roundtable discussion which was held with the students and staff of the Faculty of Law, to mark the International Day of Human Rights.

This table focused on the promotion and protection of human rights from a faith-based perspective, so the guests were: the representative of the Islamic Community of Kosovo Vedat Sahiti, the representative of the Orthodox Church Milos Peric and the representative of the Evangelical Protestant Church Driton Krasniqi.

The vice-rector of AAB College Venera Llunji and the dean of the Faculty of Law, Mentor Lecaj, welcomed the guests while they appreciated the importance of this organization and the message it conveys. They emphasized that interreligious tolerance has always reigned in Kosovo and life has developed in complete harmony.

Even the representatives of the three religious institutions unanimously agreed that respect for human rights is the main condition for a progressive and peaceful society. They also emphasized that they enjoy cooperation over the years, promoting the tolerance and respect they have for each religion.

The students had many questions for the guests, while they expressed interest in the actions that should be taken so that this spirit of cooperation and understanding is inherited between generations.
