On 29 and 30 January, within the framework of the Sustain Edu: Advancing Sustainable Development in Higher Education project, two parallel workshops on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were held, bringing into focus key issues on health, well-being, decent work and economic growth.

In the workshop on SDG3: Health and Well-being, led by Tomasz Bojar-Fijałkowsk (Powislanski University, Poland), participants analyzed national and international policies for improving health and well-being. The importance of institutional cooperation, gender equality and equal access to health services was highlighted, as well as key challenges such as healthcare financing and the impact of labor legislation on social well-being.

In the workshop on SDG8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, led by Katarzyna Strzała- Osuch (Powislanski University, Poland), participants examined decent work, workers’ rights and challenges in the labor market in Kosovo and Albania. The discussions focused on job security, equality and social entrepreneurship, analyzing strategies for improving jobs and economic growth at the local level.

The training ended with an important reflection on the next steps for a healthier, more equal and more economically sustainable society.

The project is co-financed by the governments of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through the Visegrad Grants from the Visegrad International Fund. The fund’s mission is to promote ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

The organization of the workshops was made possible by the Center for Vocational Training and Innovation (QAPI) in cooperation with the Projects Office.
