As part of the World Week of Creativity and Innovation organized by the Faculty of Economics, a debate was held on the challenges of women in innovative businesses. Present at the debate were Fatbardha Dallku, founder of Innovation Academy, Lorika Govorri, founder of the business Punë N’Dorë and Fëllënza Pula, professor at the Faculty of Economics.
During the roundtable discussion, Fatbardha talked about her experience and challenges since the beginning of her studies in Computer Engineering, her work experience in Germany, the challenges after returning from Germany, where she faced prejudice as a female programmer and the idea of starting a business, the Academy of Innovation.
“I started thinking about redesigning the clothes I had at home and put them on sale. I started with my own clothes, and today our business exports to the United States of America “, said Lorika Govori, founder of the Punë N’Dorë. Lorika also talked about her challenges in starting a business.
Professor Fëllënzë Pula highlighted her challenges as a leader in various institutions. The professor said that the academy is quite engaged in research about the challenges of women in business, and that the recommendations from this research have had an impact on reducing the challenges in business for women.
Professors and students at AAB College do considerable research in this area, and as such, contribute to raising awareness in society.
Entrepreneurs Fatbardha and Lorika encouraged students to have the courage to open new businesses and work hard so that they can overcome any challenge.
