On September 26, 2025, the Faculty of Health Sciences at AAB College hosted a roundtable discussion on “Rising Cases of Heart Disease in Youth – Prevention and Early Detection” as part of World Heart Day.
Dean Prof. Dr. Idriz Sopjani emphasized the importance of education, heart disease prevention, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Rector Prof. Dr. Blerim Olluri and Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Venera Llunji supported initiatives promoting a healthy lifestyle for students and the wider community.
The roundtable included:
Experts discussed physical activity, healthy nutrition, and early management of cardiovascular diseases in youth. Nurses, students, and faculty also participated, fostering a multidisciplinary discussion on prevention and health education.
The roundtable concluded with an open discussion and recommendations from the Dean, emphasizing AAB College’s commitment to heart disease prevention, healthy nutrition, and physical activity for youth and community health.
