Dr.Sc. Arburim Shabani was born on November 26, 1978 in Prishtina, he completed his primary and secondary education in Ferizaj. In 2006, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Prishtina in the “Management & Informatics” department, (4-years studies https://uni-pr.edu/). In 2010, he completed his postgraduate studies at the same institution in the “Management and Informatics” department, where he earned the title of Master of Sciences (M.Sc.). In 2021, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the European Center for Peace and Development in Skopje, on the topic: “Identification of Creativity and Innovations in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Kosovo and Their Management”, receiving the title of Doctor of Economic Sciences, profile in Management (https://www.ecpdorg.net ).
In 2009, at the Academy of Advanced University Studies (AAUS) in Prishtina, he completed the Research Methodology program.
During his years of work at Telecom of Kosovo – VALA, he completed various management trainings (Performance Assessment, Planning and Sales, Project Management, Time Management, Change Management, Management and Leadership, Effective Presentation, Communication, Motivation, Team Building, Decision Making, PRINCE2, SPSS Analysis, Procurement and Tendering), trainings from the Association of Banks of Kosovo (Introduction to Banking Activities, International and Local Payment Systems, Operational Risk Management), as well as the “Public Speaking” training from the Fol Academy.
His academic career began in the academic year 2012-2013, as a lecturer at the AAB University College, where he over the years has teaches the following subjects in Bachelor level: Introduction to Business, Management, Financial Management, International Finance, Financial Analysis, Financial Accounting, Digital Trade and in the Master level: International Accounting Standards, Financial Management, Auditing and Security.
Profesional Work Experience: Dr.Sc. Arburim Shabani’s work experience begins in July 1999 with the International NonGovernment Organizations; IMC International Medical Corps (July ’99 to June ’00) and IOM International Organization for Migration (June ’00 to April ’01).
From June 2001 to May 2022, he served in Telecom of Kosovo in various positions at the expert and manager level. During these years, he has held various positions starting from Regional Manager for Finance in the Ferizaj region and continuing with the position of Senior Financial Analyst in the central offices of Telecom, and then as Financial Manager and Advisor in the office of the Director of Telecom. In the last years of his service in Telecom of Kosovo, he served in the Office for Total Quality Management, where he was the project leader for the compilation of Standard Operating Procedures for all departments of Telecom of Kosovo.
Since February 2022 to February 2025, he was a member of the Board of the British School of Kosovo.
Since August 2022, he is working as a Financial and Business Consultant for the Liastublla brand (fashion design industry).
Since 2010, Arburim Shabani has been engaged in the field of consultancy and training for various businesses in Kosovo. Since 2015, he has been an active member of the Kosovo Consultants Council (https://www.bcc-ks.org.), where he has lead many management, financial consultancy and training projects.
While working as a consultant/trainer, he has held training projects through the Business Consultants Council of Kosovo (BCC), the ATAR2 Project supported by the EU Office in Kosovo and through Human Capital Kosovo.
Since 2015, Arburim Shabani has carried out over 10 different projects, including; business plans, investment plans, strategic plans, management and business consulting, basic and advanced training, recruitment, talent identification and employment.
Since 2015, as a member of the BCC (Business Consultants Council) in Pristina, Arburim has also been involved in the KOSME project (Program for the Promotion of SMEs in Kosovo), where he has held two training sessions for members of the AKB (Kosovo Business Alliance), in the field of Business Financial Management.
In September 2016, through Human Capital Kosovo (https://www.humancapital-ks.com/ ), he held the training “Management for Team Leaders” for Baruti AG.
From June 2018 to December 2018, Arburim Shabani as a project manager successfully implemented the project “Increasing employment in marginalized groups” (project supported by EYE/HELVETAS) https://helvetas-ks.org/eye. The goal of the project was on the one hand; identifying members interested in working from marginalized groups; conducting training, preparing for work, and on the other hand identifying businesses that need workers, employment mediation and employment. In this project, it has held 3 training sessions; with a focus on preparing these members for the labor market, where it has managed to employ 49 members of marginalized groups (RAE communities and marginalized women).
In March 2019, Arburim Shabani held training, with the topic “Sales and Negotiation”, for the ATAR2 project (Improving Self-Employment and Entrepreneurship for Kosovo Youth), a project funded by the European Union office and implemented by FIC Kosovo.
