Representatives of the largest US companies: INTEL, NASA, GOOGLE, are continuing to train the 100 girls of the International Summer Camp “Women in Science”, which is being held at AAB College.
Divided into groups of girls from America and the Balkans, today they are learning how to build a drone, develop mobile applications, computer coding, microbiology and animation from representatives of INTEL.
Bailey Leuschen, leader of Girl Up, says the camp aims to foster greater participation of girls in these areas.
“This camp has only girls and is very focused on encouraging them to enter these fields knowing that they have a community behind them, they have mentors and support,” she added.
Kosovo and AAB College are the hosts of this camp for the first time through a partnership between the Millennium Challenge Corporation, the US Embassy in Pristina, the United Nations Foundation “GirlUp”, among others.
