Aims and profile of the study program

The BA Program in Physical Culture and Sport aims to equip students with a strong theoretical and practical foundation in the field of physical culture and sport, while developing their abilities for independent work and continuous professional development.

At the same time, the program encourages students’ engagement in critical thinking and problem-solving based on scientific research through involvement in projects, debates, and conferences, and encourages them to contribute innovative ideas to community well-being and the promotion of physical and mental health, while also cultivating ethical competencies and technological skills for effective communication and collaboration.

The objectives of the BA program in Physical Culture and Sports are as follows:

The mission of the BA program in Physical Culture and Sports is to “provide quality, student-centered education that prepares future professionals who lead transformative processes in physical education, professional sports development, and public health improvement. Through scientific facts, applied research, innovative projects and creative solutions, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills, and competences necessary to promote physical well-being and drive positive change within diverse communities”.

Admission to studies

Bachelor studies have the right to enrol all those candidates who have completed secondary education, possess the necessary documentation, and fulfil the minimum admission criteria determined by the Senate. According to Article 5 of the Regulations for Bachelor Studies, the conditions for admission to Bachelor studies are:

Number of study places

The number of study places, according to the decision of the KAA, is 100 students per academic year.

Recognition of qualifications

According to the Regulations for Bachelor Studies at AAB College, the recognition of qualifications and the transfer of studies are governed by Articles 6, 7, and 8 of these regulations.

These articles outline the conditions, criteria, and procedures for admitting students from other higher education institutions, as well as the process for transferring and recognizing previously completed courses and determining their equivalence.

Studies in the BA Program in Physical Culture and Sport last 4 years, 240 ECTS, with a total of 8 semesters.

Level and Academic Degree

Upon completion of studies, the student earns the academic title Bachelor of Arts in Physical Culture and Sport.

Assessment methods

A variety of assessment methods are used to evaluate student achievement, combining continuous (formative) and final (summative) assessment. These include written exams, quizzes, essays, project work, case studies, oral presentations, and reflective reports, as well as the evaluation of class participation, group work, and communication skills. Students are also assessed through independent work such as internships, consulting, or simulations that involve research, analysis, and practical application. In addition, practical performance is evaluated through structured exercise sessions that assess technical, tactical, and analytical skills in sports disciplines.
