Physical Culture and Sports

Aim and program profile

Generating staff as training and instructors of PE that will meet high sports requirements at all levels as well as be prepared for the methodological aspect to manage work with different age groups starting from pre-school up to those of superior education. Our Program aims to educate pedagogues in the sports culture to work on sports programs of children and youth as well with elite level sportsmen also in the prevention, recreation, rehabilitation, social inclusion and all the other areas of sport science.

Expected learning outcomes

b) –Overall competencies that are obtained in the program:

– Teamwork and good communication skills
– Flexible use of knowledge in practice.
– Knowledge of institutional requirements (legal system –laws of the school and other laws extracurricular sport)
– Knowledge of children’s and youth sports, as well as the culture system in total and the meaning of cultural concepts.
– Strategic use of pedagogy and didactics as well as social esteem within the culture
– Knowledge of psychological development (the meaning of developmental characteristics, changes and the needs of children).
– Overall organizational skills.
– Knowledge of ethics and codex of professional scope.
– Knowledge of communication in a foreign language (English).
– Knowledge of first aid.

– Mastering of knowledge of sports, competing skills and experiences of specific sports branches,
– Skills on planning, organizing, implementing and manage sports training,
– Knowledge of sportsmen and their developmental features,
– Knowledge of pedagogical and didactic aspects in the process of sports exercises,
– Understanding and using judging in sports disciplines,
– Train to work with modern technology in sports culture.

Duration of studies and workload

Bachelor studies last for 3 years with total of 6 semesters, while the overall number of ECTS is 180. Each semester has 30 ECTS and is comprised of mandatory and optional courses. The students complete the studies when he finishes all the examinations and successfully finishes the Diploma theses.
