On the topic of “The Changing Labor Market: How Technology, Skills and New Trends are Changing Employment?”, the Faculty of Economics of AAB College organized a roundtable discussion on the eve of International Workers’ Day on May 1.
During this event, an in-depth research was presented with 250 local businesses, which aimed to analyze the impact of new technologies and trends on the changing demand for digital skills and competencies in the labor market in Kosovo.
The event was attended by representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce in Kosovo, the German-Kosovar Chamber of Commerce, the Kosovo Business Alliance, the Business Club, academic staff and students of AAB College.
Participants emphasized the importance of such research in identifying real labor market needs and harmonizing university curricula with industry demands for new skills, especially digital ones.
This open discussion highlighted that collaboration between higher education and the private sector is key to preparing a workforce ready for the challenges of the future.
