Falkona Hasani was born on June 16, 1999, in Podujevë, where she also completed her primary and secondary education. She has pursued a parallel and multidisciplinary academic path, completing her Bachelor studies in 2020 in three distinct fields: in Political Science at the University of Prishtina, in English Language at Universum College, and in European Union Law at Sapienza University of Rome, through the Erasmus+ program.
In 2024, she completed her Master’s studies in International Relations and Diplomacy at the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina,” successfully graduating with the thesis: “The Future of Diplomacy: How Artificial Intelligence Will Transform International Relations,” a paper that reflects her interest in the intersection of technology with political science and contemporary diplomacy. During her studies, she was recognized with merit-based scholarships from the university and was also a recipient of scholarships from external institutions, including the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, due to her high academic performance and engagement in social and international issues.
Her enthusiasm and commitment to technology were further deepened through her doctoral studies at ETH Zurich, where she was selected as a scholarship recipient and is currently conducting research on artificial intelligence in politics and business, with a special focus on the impact of AI on decision-making, governance, and institutional transformation.
professional experience began in educational institutions and public organizations and further developed in the private sector and entrepreneurship. Initially, she worked as an assistant and lecturer at Universum College (2018–2019), where she taught English Language and Research Methodology courses, providing academic support to first-year students. Later, during the period 2019–2020, she taught German Language at Oxford School of Languages, where she developed an interactive and inclusive curriculum for beginner students.
From 2020 to 2021, she was engaged at the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo as an administrative assistant to the Parliamentary Group, providing support in coordination, logistics, institutional communication, and drafting official documents.
In 2021, she took on the role of Operations Manager at J Frosty L.L.C, a company operating in the frozen fruit processing industry, where she is responsible for daily operations management, development of internal policies, strategic planning, human resources management, and representing the company in international partnerships. She contributed to increasing production capacities and expanding the market at regional and international levels.
In 2022, she founded the company Falconsulting, where she serves as Executive Director and has led several high-level projects with local and international institutions. Through this platform, she has designed and implemented strategies for the use of artificial intelligence for ministries, donors, international agencies, and private companies, including organizations such as the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry, AgroDEV, CARITAS/ADA, SwissContact, GIZ, among others. She currently also leads the AI strategy for the international company FORD, where she is engaged in integrating advanced artificial intelligence systems into the managerial and operational structures of the company.
As of this year, Falkona Hasani is engaged as a lecturer at AAB College, where she teaches the course “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence” within the Digital Business program. This academic role marks one of the key points of her commitment to integrating technological knowledge into higher education in Kosovo. Through this engagement, Falkona contributes to building the capacities of the new generation of digital professionals in Kosovo, aiming to prepare them for the challenges and opportunities offered by the era of artificial intelligence.
In addition to her academic and executive engagements, she is actively involved in the development of national strategies for artificial intelligence in Kosovo. Currently, she is working on drafting Kosovo’s National AI Strategy, a key document that aims to set medium and long-term directions for the development, use, and governance of advanced technologies in the country. Her contribution includes the analysis of institutional needs, identification of internal potential in the public, educational, and economic sectors, as well as the alignment of local policies with international directives and best practices, including the EU AI Act and OECD regulatory frameworks.
Her native language is Albanian, while she is fluent in English (C1 level), thanks to her university studies and experience in teaching and translation. She also has a good command of the German language, which she has used in teaching and professional communication. This multilingual competence has enabled her to move easily in international academic environments, represent Kosovar institutions abroad, and build bridges of cooperation in fields such as diplomacy, education, and technology.
The connection between artificial intelligence, politics, and environmental policies represents one of the most significant directions of her research and practical work. With a background in political science and diplomacy, and expertise in advanced technologies, her focus is on how AI can assist in drafting smarter, data-driven public policies with sustainable impact. In particular, her interest in the application of AI in environmental policies includes its use in pollution monitoring, sustainable management of natural resources, and support in decision-making for ecological transition. Her approach is interdisciplinary, treating artificial intelligence not simply as a technology, but as a strategic instrument for sustainable development, transparent governance, and the creation of a greener future.
She lives and works between Kosovo, Albania, and Germany.
