During participation in the Partnership Week at NLA University College in Bergen, Venera Llunji, together with Deans Aida Alla and Vrullim Buja, as well as Project Officers Erëza Mehmeti and Arta Musollaj, engaged in a series of intensive academic and professional activities, directly contributing to the strengthening of internationalization, innovation, and research capacity at the institutional level.
As part of this engagement, the AAB delegation participated in four high-level thematic workshops:
-Digitalization in Higher Education
-Building Research Capacity in Higher Education
-Digitalization in the International Office
-Intercultural Communication Dilemmas in the International Office
During the workshop on digitalization in higher education, discussions focused on contemporary models of online studies, hybrid teaching, and remote academic supervision, as well as the use of digital platforms for effective communication with students. These discussions align with global trends in digital transformation in universities and reinforce AAB College’s commitment to continuous modernization.
The workshop on building research capacity emphasized the role of research centers, the development of scientific projects, applications for international funding, and the management of financial resources for research.
These elements are essential for increasing academic impact and strengthening the international positioning of higher education institutions.
In the session on digitalization in the International Office, particular attention was given to the use of digital tools and artificial intelligence in managing internationalization processes, including mobility, communication, and services for international students.
Meanwhile, the workshop on intercultural communication addressed the challenges and practical experiences of International Offices, particularly in organizing and managing student exchanges.
Discussions were grounded in both theoretical approaches and concrete reflections from international staff experiences.
The concluding day featured the strategic workshop “Future Collaboration & Evaluating Possible Future Projects,” where opportunities for joint projects and long-term inter- institutional cooperation were explored.
On the same day, Vice-Rector Venera Llunji delivered a lecture to students and staff of NLA University College titled “Religion, Religions, Religious,” within the course Religion, Diversity and Transnational Processes, contributing to academic discourse on religious diversity and transnational processes.
This participation represents an important step in advancing AAB College’s internationalization
strategy, reaffirming its commitment to developing strategic partnerships, fostering innovation
in education, and strengthening its role within the European Higher Education Area.
