As part of the seventh edition of the Prishtina Arts and Architecture Festival (PAAF) 2026, AAB College
welcomed international professor Bernadette Coughlan, who conducted an academic and creative
workshop with students from the Faculty of Arts, Fashion and Design Department.
The lecture, titled “Threads of Identity: Culture, Memory, and Meaning in Fashion,” explored the
influence of culture, collective memory, and identity on contemporary fashion, offering international
perspectives on modern developments in the fashion and design industry.
Through interactive discussions and professional analyses, students had the opportunity to explore how
fashion functions as a form of cultural and artistic communication in modern society. The workshop also
encouraged the exchange of ideas and experiences between students and international experts in the
field.
The activity was organized within the framework of the course “History of Costume and Fashion,” under
the guidance of Professor Riona Sylejmani, contributing to the advancement of international academic
cooperation and enriching students’ practical learning experience.
PAAF 2026 continues to bring international artists, professors, and professionals to AAB College,
transforming the festival into an important platform for art, architecture, design, and creative
innovation in Kosovo and the region.
