The Faculty of Computer Science at AAB College successfully held its next lecture within the framework of the “Guest Talk” series, titled “Code, Power & Democracy: How Software Is Rewriting Politics.”
The guest speaker for this lecture was technology expert and entrepreneur Ermal Sadiku, who addressed students and academic staff on the ever-growing impact of technology and software on political and social processes.
During the lecture, Sadiku spoke about rapid technological developments, digital platforms, and algorithms, as well as their role in shaping public opinion, political decision-making, and the functioning of modern democracy.
He also discussed the role of programmers and technology professionals in these developments, encouraging students to be aware of the significance of their profession in various societal processes.
