Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science participates in the CAIML Symposium in Vienna

The Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Dr. Techn. Arben Ahmeti, participated in the CAIML (Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) Symposium 2026, organized by the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CAIML) at TU Wien.

The symposium provided an excellent opportunity to engage with international experts and researchers in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Two key themes were explored, focusing on bridging academic research with industrial applications: AI- assisted programming and agentic AI, as well as AI-driven optimization and predictive modeling.

Participants gained valuable insights from internationally renowned speakers, including Mira Mezini, Professor of Computer Science at TU Darmstadt, Head of the Software Technology Group and Co- Director of hessian.AI, and Laurent Perron, Tech Lead for Operations Research at Google and creator of the CP-SAT solver within OR-Tools.

The speakers shared the latest advancements in software engineering, optimization technologies, and the practical application of artificial intelligence across various domains.
