Naime Rrustemi

MSc. Naime Rrustemi was born on February 15, 1980, in the municipality of Vushtrri. At an early age, she moved with her family to Mitrovica, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She graduated from the “Xheladin Deda” Medical High School, specializing in Nursing, laying the foundation for a dedicated career in healthcare.

After completing high school in 1998, she immediately began her professional practice, working in patient care services. In 2000, she participated in a six-month intensive care training program organized by the French KFOR, an experience that significantly strengthened her skills in handling complex medical situations.

Following this training, she began working at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK), where she continues to serve to this day, specifically at the Infectious Disease Clinic. For more than two decades, she has played a continuous and vital role in the care of patients with infectious diseases, combining hands-on clinical experience with ongoing professional education.

Throughout these years, Naime Rrustemi has attended numerous training programs focused on infectious diseases, with particular emphasis on HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis (A, B, and C), tuberculosis, meningitis, acute respiratory infections, hospital-acquired infections, and zoonotic diseases. Her work has been characterized by a strong commitment to patient care and a consistent effort to stay updated with the latest developments in medical science.

In 2016, she began her undergraduate studies in Nursing at AAB College in Pristina, which she successfully completed in 2019. Immediately afterward, in 2020, she enrolled in the Master of Science in Health Management program at the same institution, completing her postgraduate studies in 2022. This academic path further broadened her competencies in healthcare leadership and the administration of health services.

In addition to her clinical role, after completing her master’s studies, she began working as a teaching assistant for practical training of nursing students at AAB College – Pristina. Through this role, she actively supports the formation of new generations of healthcare professionals with competence and dedication.

With extensive experience, a strong academic background, and a deep humanistic spirit, Naime Rrustemi is regarded as a respected figure in Kosovo’s healthcare system and serves as an inspiration to both colleagues and students.
